The Magic of the West bank luxor

09/01/2022 – 30/01/2022

“winter 2019, I received an invitation, from Gallery Picasso East, with a group of Egyptian artists influential in the Egyptian plastic movement, and here I got to know more, a new side of the city, which I had not known the first time, it is the West Bank. On the first visit, as in the second, I painted some quick scenes from the western mainland, and documented many of the main places of the charming nature of the place, although I kept urging this city to draw it more. And it brought me back to the deep well of love, I do not claim that I adhered to the craftsmanship of the scenes that passed through my eyes, but rather to the spirit of the place and its distinguishing marks so that I left my hands to strive in the climate of the landscape, and I drew from the space of my technical expertise, which I built through four decades of work in painting, These works included, in the spirit of the lover, works that I accomplished with a profound influence on (The Magic of the Western Land), the title that I suggested for this important exhibition in my career, which is my first in guarded Egypt and Cairo Al-Muaz. The city of music, theater, and cinema, from which I have always learned the Egyptian dialect, my family. Through my artistic journey and with watercolors, I painted four cities that had the power of love in me. I started in the Jordanian city of Fuheis in 1991, passing through Salt, then Jerusalem, and Nablus in 2008, and here is the fifth city, Luxor – the West Bank.” Mohammad Al-Jaloos
