Samir Hussein
Samir Hussein
(Egyptian, b. 1954) is a renowned potter and ceramist. He is a professor of pottery in the Faculty of Art Education where he received his bachelor’s degree in 1976. He went on to get his master's degree and Ph.D. from the same institution in 1986 and 1991 respectively. His work has been exhibited extensively in Egypt and abroad. His work has been acquired by individuals in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and institutions such as the Middle East Art Gallery in Amsterdam, the Ceramique Contemporaine Art in Paris, Galerie d’art Au P'tit Bonheur in Canada, Ministry of Culture in Tunis, and the Egyptian Museum of Modern Art.
