Sayed Saad ELdin

(Egyptian, b. 1944) was born in Qena. To please his parents, he enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering in Minya but he soon realized he truly belonged in the art world. In pursuit of his passion, he left Minya at the age of 17, headed alone to the big capital, Cairo, and began his formal art studies at the Leonardo Di Vinci Institute under the mentorship of modernist painter Sayed Abdel Rassoul. He studied the art of anatomy in particular and practiced sculpture in an academic way alongside painting. After graduation he was appointed as an Art professor there and is now a tenured professor. In addition, he is a Member of the Fine Artists Syndicate. Saad utilizes more than one style of art such as romanticism, realism, surrealism, and abstract expressionism. He has always been passionate about depicting nature. Saad is considered unique in his pure simple paintings like the lead renaissance painters.
