She studied in Bucharest, earning her BA in 1978 and PhD in 1982 from the University of Bucharest. Abdel Aziz has been an active member of the Egyptian art scene, participating in both national and international exhibitions since 1977. She represented Egypt in events such as the Drawing Triennial in Germany (1985-1986), the Youth Triennial in Madrid (1989), and exhibitions in Japan, France, and Lebanon. She won the first prize in painting at the Motherhood Exhibition at Ain Shams University in 1974.
