was born in Minya where he received his BA in Art Education.

He lives between Cairo, Alexandria and Vienna. His work uses techniques from ancient Egyptian and Islamic art and architecture.
His work is sustainable as the main medium he works with is paper and cardboard. El-Mestikawy is a critically acclaimed artist as he has received international recognition in North Africa, Europe, and all over the world.
