He was extensively involved in establishing the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Luxor and the University of South Valley. In 1994, Abdel Fatah worked as a visiting professor at Washington DC University. He participated in many local and international exhibitions in the USA, Germany, Tunisia, France, Syria, and Yemen.
