(Egyptian, b. 1972) graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1995 and earned her PhD in painting in 2008. In addition to her work as an artist she is active in academia as an associate professor in the painting department of her alma mater. Her work is inspired by the social pressures that women face and feminist issues. Her work has been exhibited extensively both locally and internationally at more than 50 exhbitions.
