Amani Abdelbari

Amani Ramses AbdelBari is an Egyptian artist who specializes in figurative portraits as well as abstract art. She often combines both styles to tell stories. She is passionate about history and about understanding the unique cultural aspects of different people. Throughout Amani’s many travels and living in different parts of the world she realized that human nature is the same, drawing face any face, and seeing its unique beauty and depth humbles her heart and she tries to relay and share this feeling through her paintings. Abstract painting on the other hand is an inner dialogue emanating from the artist to share a story, or a feeling at a point in time. In both styles, Amani is keen on making a connection outwardly and inwardly. Connecting is what we humans are all about. The artist works with different media from pastel to acrylic to oil paint. She started her artistic career by presenting two exhibits in 2002 and 2003 on African Beauty, painting African refugees in Egypt, mainly from war-torn Sudan and from Ethiopia.
