(Egyptian, b. 1949) graduated with a BA from the Faculty of Applied Arts. In 1990 he received his PhD from the same institution. He is a member of the Fine Artists Syndicate, Cairo Atelier, and the Fine Arts Lovers Association. El Nawawy is a Professor at the College of Applied Arts and in 2012 he became the Dean of the Higher Institute of Applied Arts. He has exhibited extensively locally and his work is part of many private collections in Egypt and beyond.
