Waleed Ganoush

Egyptian, b. 1972

Walid Muhammad Abdullah Ganoush, known as Walid Ganoush, was born on April 1, 1972, in Beheira. He specialized in photography and holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Alexandria University (1994), a Master's degree in Photography (2002), and a PhD in the Philosophy of Fine Arts (2006) from the same institution.

Walid is a member of the Syndicate of Fine Artists, the Artists and Writers Association in Alexandria, and the Board of Directors of the

Freedom Center for Creativity. He has held various academic positions at Alexandria University, including Assistant Lecturer, Instructor, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Photography. In September 2011, he was appointed Director of the Freedom Center for Creativity in Alexandria, under the Cultural Development Fund.
