Mohamed Abo Elmagd
Egyptian, b. 1971

is an Egyptian sculptor who began working with limestone in the mid-1990s and later trained under Dawestashy, assisting him in granite sculpting at the 2001 Aswan Symposium.
With independent studies at the Alexandria Atelier, he has exhibited widely across Egypt and abroad, with works housed in both private and public collections. A recipient of numerous awards, including the Minister of Culture’s Prize, his artistic career spans from 1995 to the present, marked by participation in major exhibitions such as the Youth Salon, National Fine Arts Exhibitions, the Cairo Biennale, and international showcases in Rome. He continues to exhibit actively, most recently with solo and group shows in 2025 at prominent venues including the Grand Egyptian Museum.
