George Fakhry
Egyptian, b. 1954

George Fakhry, born on January 24, 1954, in Fayum, Egypt, is a renowned Egyptian fine artist and decorator. He earned a Bachelor's degree in decoration from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Cairo, in 1977.
Fakhry began his career as a painter for Sabah Al-Khier magazine (1973-1980) and later worked for the Supreme Council of Sports and Youth and the Karitas Authority. In 1996, he became the Director of the Creation Center in Qatar. Since 1997, he has been a free fine artist. He held solo exhibitions in Fayum and Cairo from 1970 to 1999 and participated in local exhibitions such as the Regions Biennale in Port Said. Fakhry's works are in private collections worldwide, including in Egypt, the US, Austria, Australia, Japan, and more. He has also contributed to cultural education through lectures and symposiums.
