Ahmed Jaride
Moroccan, b. 1954

born in Casablanca in 1954,
He is a Moroccan artist and cultural advocate who splits his time between Casablanca and Benslimane.
With a background in philosophy and aesthetics, he taught at the École des Beaux-Arts in Casablanca and played key roles in cultural policy, including advising the Minister of Culture and directing the Minister’s Cabinet. In 1998, he founded the Village Des Ateliers d’Artistes Association (AVAA) and later established GENAP and Zon’Art magazine. His art has been exhibited internationally and is held in major collections such as the Royal Palace and Kuwait’s National Council for Culture. Since 2013, he has served as artistic director of the International Symposium of Contemporary Art in Asilah and continues to influence the Moroccan art scene through exhibitions, residencies, and institutional roles.
